Fleet Vehicle Movements & Dealer Car DeliveryThe Service Dealerships Use to Deliver Nationwide
If you have bought a car from a dealership at the other end of the country and want it delivered, this is the type of service that carries out the movement. Rapid Vehicle Delivery works with dealer, leasing and fleet requirements across mainland UK, including delivery of sold vehicles directly to customers.
Most suitable movements are driven on our own trade plates. The vehicle is inspected and condition-recorded around the movement so both the trade client and end customer have a clear handover process.
Bought From a Dealer Who Does Not Deliver?
Many dealerships sell vehicles to customers well outside their local area, but the delivery offer can be limited, expensive or built around a transporter schedule. If the right vehicle is several counties away, you do not necessarily need to spend a day collecting it yourself.
Rapid Vehicle Delivery can collect from the dealership and deliver to your home, workplace or another agreed address. You provide the collection and delivery postcodes plus the dealer contact details. The vehicle is inspected at collection, so there is a record before it sets off on the journey.
This is also useful when the dealer is happy to release the vehicle but does not have its own nationwide delivery operation. We become the movement layer between the dealership and you, without pretending to be the seller.
Fleet & Dealer Movement Services
Fleet logistics is broader than simply “deliver a car”. The handover and destination change depending on whether the vehicle is new stock, sold stock, a de-fleet return or a driver changeover.
Stock transfers
Branch-to-branch, compound-to-forecourt and preparation-site movements where dealer stock needs to be repositioned.
Customer deliveries
Sold vehicles delivered to the customer at home or work under the dealer’s arrangement and agreed handover instructions.
Part-exchange collections
Collection of the customer’s outgoing vehicle on the same plan where practical, or as a separate movement when timing requires it.
De-fleet and lease returns
Vehicles moved back to a compound, auction, storage point or the next user at the end of an assignment or lease period.
Driver changeovers
Operational swaps between drivers, sites and fleet locations where vehicle availability matters more than consumer-style delivery windows.
Auction runs
Fleet disposal or buying through auction, with release paperwork and collection timing built into the movement. See auction collection.
Why Fleet Operators and Dealers Use Rapid Vehicle Delivery
The useful difference is not a marketing slogan. It is how the movement is handled when vehicles need to keep moving between branches, drivers and customers.
A named operator, not a public marketplace
Your job is not presented as a consumer comparison listing. Rapid Vehicle Delivery manages the movement directly and plans the route around the vehicle and agreed handover.
Condition recorded around the movement
Darryl Bosworth has 15 years of vehicle inspection and delivery experience. For a fleet, clear condition information helps when a vehicle changes hands between locations or users.
We say no to the wrong method
A non-runner, no-MOT vehicle or mileage-sensitive vehicle should not be squeezed into driven delivery. Those movements are reviewed for transported delivery instead.
Most suitable vehicles are driven using trade plates. For the rules behind that method, see DVLA trade licence plate guidance and our trade plate delivery service.
Pricing for Dealer and Fleet Movements
A single car movement can be priced through the calculator, but repeat dealer work needs a different conversation because route patterns, volume and timing all affect the commercial rate.
Single car movements start from £70 + VAT. If you are moving vehicles weekly, transferring several cars a day or building regular dealer-to-customer delivery into your sales process, request contract pricing instead.
That keeps a one-off public price from being mistaken for the rate on a repeat operational schedule.
From Vehicle List to Completed Movements
Fleet work is easier when the information arrives in an operational format rather than as a series of disconnected consumer bookings.
For a one-off dealer delivery
Send the collection branch, delivery postcode, vehicle registration, contact names and required timing. The vehicle is checked at collection, moved using the suitable method and handed over at the agreed destination.
For repeated movements
Share the route pattern, expected weekly volume, common collection sites and any fixed customer or branch windows. That allows the work to be planned around the operation instead of pricing each job without context.
Dealer and Fleet Delivery Across Mainland UK
Rapid Vehicle Delivery is based in the East Midlands and handles suitable vehicle movements throughout mainland UK, including longer routes north to Scotland and the North East.
Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are not currently covered. See Areas We Cover for the main coverage structure rather than repeating a long city list on every service page.
