How Vehicle Delivery Pricing Works
The calculator combines the vehicle starting charge with route-based distance pricing. Longer journeys use different distance bands rather than one flat per-mile figure, and VAT is shown separately at 20% so the payable total is clear.
Current driven-delivery starting prices
Cars start from £70 + VAT (£84 inc. VAT), vans from £80 + VAT (£96 inc. VAT), and 7.5 tonne vehicles from £140 + VAT (£168 inc. VAT). The route distance is then calculated using the existing vehicle-specific distance bands.
When transported delivery is more suitable
This calculator is for driven vehicle delivery using trade plates. If the vehicle is a non-runner, has no valid MOT, is unsafe to drive, or mileage needs to be avoided, transported delivery may be more appropriate. Transported delivery starts from £150 + VAT plus £2.50 per mile and should be quoted separately.
